In Gloucester. but you just got towed to the boat yard in Saint Johns Newfoundland,snapt the shaft Lost the wheel to Davy Jones , a few weeks at least out of the sword game news is bad, When the Stephanie Vaughn lost her wheel up on the Grand Banks .In the EARLY May Alfred Pierre ,on his own knowledge, dove in the icy cold Grand  Banks deep under the hull with no wet suit just a mask  T shirt and Shorts in May to tie  aline around the wheel Alfred Knew was Going to come loose and be lost to the sea forever, he was right ,it came free like he called it ,to the skipper Alfred Said if it comes loose in the tow to Saint John Captain ,the wheel is saved by the line you can pay me 500 dollars. no one wanted to do it. they stopped the tow a few days into a rough spell  took over  8 hours to come along and chain fall the wheel and shaft end stub aboard.broke where they usualy do,in the shaft log, lack of grease causes friction in bad weather, RUDDERS are some what like the prop shaft.bad weather more friction ,rudder shaft Fails water innondates vessel bad weather factor number one, number two cause of sinking , Boats that are refitted or added on to .lenth wise .more stress on rudder designed for its origonal size, affects steering ,CRUCIAL in Gale force storms, Rudder is one most common failures on vessels . an over looked factor. ME  I Always LOOK AT THE BOATS RUDDER and SHaft,at the wharf before we sail .to insure from past horrific experiences, that the crew will be safe every trip, TWO people are better than one in the Engineering department on a ship .this applies to ships or boats of smaller size, once i was the only crew man to know the way to port after the Coast Guard rescued the Captain .we were way outside ,Boston or one of its great assets cuttered the bleeding skipper to the hospital  jonah  Tim. two Tim Jonahs I know of here nor east district 1  Feltis jonah chucky worm digger, one worm digger worked for Kelly for years Jackie ,good man, during the Lobster wars of (1989 to 1991) jack worked for the widgery wharf  Pete known by many Boat owner names, Jackie would say Pete would bitch about the RAMBLER known also by many names ,hi a watha ,came down the Fore river to Teach Respect to the Knife of Widgery wharf tribe, that have ruled the lobster in Portland,with the knife from Buxton Known by many names Stoirmin Norman, Rambling Man is on their turf, they drew war first on him . you will love this , He has Marine Patrol in his Gang of ill lobster catchers. last year was poor fishing in the gulf for most   ten percent  of the  boats  land 90 percent of  the  lobster

rockland eastport are  fish  ghost  towns   portland  and  below are fisherman unfriendly

you   couldnt  use the rest room  at  the  fish pier   if you bought  millions of dollars in fuel or  ice

fisherman are all dead .  they  got  the results  they wanted . the collapse of a legacy. extinction of the fisherman.

ironic  the  fish  population is higher than ever . some  small  mesh  should be more regulated . thats  it .

big   regulation   is  the  only  outlook . to  the  highest  bidder    the  big red  lobster

who  pays   the   most   for  the   right   to  harvest  the  gulf  of  maine

any  lawyers  attorneys  want  to   make  a name  for  yourselves  $$$

SPRING  STILL WRITING AT THE Farm in southern Maine .On a warm Easter april 4 th 2010 .Sunny warm spring the tree frogs are peeping and chirping mating call since the last week of March, Rooster is busy ensuring chicks will be born again in the farm yard,pond has realesed the ice in the big rains of March ends.Magnolia tops are flowers.common house wren is back to carry her 21 year lineage at southerm Maines foot hills.here at the old Farm.Lady bugs fill the windows at the good farm. Robins tussle in the old dry leaf  for the best nesting spot. Raptures have been here since march. the circle continues to turn the cycle of the seasons.  mom was here today, just out of church with the masses.  Churches are in trouble in the day. Alfred Pierre told Me.(Bobby you live like a king here at the farm,I’m coming back to live at the farm with you.) Still I write and think of Gouucester Every Day, want to go South .Back to Gloucester, Where life is Good by the Sea. Miss the folks there.

they treat Fishermen right in Gloucester. People are good in Gloucester . I long for Gloucester. an Fish an Chips, England is a place to see, maybe take a boat ride to Gloucester Englad ,Follow My roots From NewEngland Back to ole England, Pay my Respect to the Queen.

April at the farm in Maine, morning chores of a writer ? got a blind hen in the Flock. had a blind friend or two a few blind folks. some from birth April she was an amazing is  still im sure ,drove them here and there ,Davids gone now. last he told me Bob they are trying to kill me.he lost his sight . we talked about my Andrea Gail Family .  David was happy ,maybe not with his wife in the end ,but i knew him better than she did. i was dispatching with the taxi company phone for Cooper he  and johnny Y and Gladu all the smoking fools that are in the taxi biz,she called when David Passed over to the spirit world. She asked for Bill Cooper , Billy was at home, she never knew him it seemed,I knew it was Davids EX wife. David was a real  good person with Blindness ,Amazed at how the little things made him happy ,like giving me a tip when he had no money to speak of,but my conversations with David,while he and i would engauge in conversation with him in the middle of the back of the taxi one women each door side back ,with two working Dogs Davids Companion and Tabbatha  ,God loves her,she shines ,she carries knowledge and I had to tell her on one of our single fare afternoons,after or morning .God Gave HER a GIft ,she has the most Beautiful golden eyes of any woman i have ever seen.  I told a blind young Beautiful women in Whitmore taxi that i loved her eyes . still have never seen a set of blind Beautiful Bonita Eyes,Bling in my eye.

the message to me is unclear but ,and i gave david a photo of The Andrea, awkward it may have seemed ,he loved his son and said quote (i will have my son describe the picure of the Andrea Gail when he comes to visit me) David loved his sons visits.
